Prima ancora di essere appassionato pittore e scultore, Mauro Martin è un filosofo che sceglie la tecnica più adatta a seconda della situazione: la fotografia è da lui utilizzata  per svelare le profondità dell’animo umano e l’essenza metafisica di oggetti e sentimenti. L’assoluta perfezione tecnica viene prima di tutto nella sua arte: egli impiega rigorosamente la luce naturale per ottenere uno straordinario effetto tridimensionale e scultoreo che cattura sia la bellezza fisica sia quella interiore. La sua passione per i miti antichi pervade le sue opere, che rivelano costantemente reminiscenze dell’arte Egizia, Greca e  Romana oltre che  dell’opulenza Rinascimentale. L’antico vaso qui rappresentato è un evocativo contenitore di mito e lussureggiante abbondanza; la modella nei due ritratti rappresenta un momento rivelatore nella vita di una giovane donna: la consapevolezza del proprio potenziale, delle speranze, dei sogni e delle promesse da realizzare. Ella rappresenta l’essenza senza tempo della femminilità. Vi è una notevole corrispondenza ed armonia tra forme e colori nelle tre immagini, una perfetta simmetria di materia ed anima.

Even before being a dedicated painter and sculptor, Mauro Martin is a philosopher who chooses the most suitable medium according to the situation: photography is used by him to disclose the depths of the human soul and the metaphysical essence of objects and feelings. Absolute technical perfection comes first and foremost in his art: he strictly employs natural light to achieve a striking three-dimensional, sculptural effect that captures both physical and inner beauty. His fascination with ancient myths pervades his work, which constantly reveals reminiscences of the ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman art, as well as the opulence of the Renaissance. The ancient vase depicted here is an evocative container of myth and luscious abundance; the model in the two portraits represents a revealing moment in the life of a young woman: the awareness of one’s potential, hopes, dreams and promises to fulfill. She embodies the timeless essence of womanhood. There is a remarkable correspondence and harmony between shapes and colous in the three pictures, a perfect symmetry of matter and soul.
